weeee! we have our honeymoon trip nail down! after much comtemplating, Lapland emerge as the winner. it was a close fight between New Zealand & Lapland. i want more nature this time round. both countries have their own share of beauties. but.... it was the Northern Lights & dog sleddiing which finally won me over. cos this will be only once a lifetime. which fits just nicely into wedding. and also to exprience the super cold weather in the North. * from google i love Greece Santorini but i believe we would be able to visit some day. just need to save up $ again. ask for advice from Swedish boss, he recommend to stop over at Stockholm & Copehagen as well. he strongly recommend the ice hotel for experience. did ask him would it be far if Prague was to be included cost this is one of the MUST go countries in my list. and he mention is only an hour flight from Copenhagen.. wee! you can't imagine i was grining like...

overdue post i bought a new cam just for the TW trip cos i need something light. bro's powershot was too heavy for me to bring around. was comtemplating between Lumix LX5 and Olympus XZ-1. in the end, i chose the latter. 毕竟我对它一见钟情. 果然，it did not disappoint me with on its the quality of photos. and lazy me set most of them in auto mode. hahaha.. here are some of its 作品. all pictures are taken under auto mode. no PS done. i super like the photos taken at 合歡山. this cam had absoutely captured its beauty. even the rock looks splendid. no regrets!

To survive 13 hours of flight to London wasn't an easy task. same day, we took a domestic flight into Edinburgh. total 14 hours on plane. excluding the time i was on the cabbie. my ass was sore with pain. it hurt after the 7th hour. tried not to check my watch every hour. cos it will make me feel even more miserable. i got excited whenever meals are served. not because the food is fantastic but serving meals indicates i'm getting closer to my dest :) many had asked if it was pre-honeymoon trip or asking what would be my honeymoon dest. so to answer, No it was not a pre-honeymoon trip (we aren't rich). the main purpose was his graduation. i'm still hoping going to Lapland for honeymoon but seems not really possible cos of the upcoming house renovation will eat quite alot into our budget. perhaps perhaps, Eastern Europe or New Zealand will be nice. tsk tsk. anyway, nothing has been nailed down. still subj to changes. ...

stumbled on this taiwanese babe  blog while checking out the taipei minsu at Q square that my friend recommended. she shares about how to achieve such small waist. looking at her pic will really make you feel demoralised :( *extract from her blog i was asking myself how on earth am i going to achieve such waist! 原烧 was brought to this BBQ place by my biz associate during the TW trip. i have to say, i fell in love though initally i wanted to have something light. the sweetness and tenderness of the meat completely won me over :) we ordered the set which completes with starter/ soup/ dessert and rice (i din touch the rice though). the starters - smoked duck salad/ fruit yogurt salad soups - miso/ tomato seafood their servings are big; you can taste the sweetness of the seafood soup.. whooo.. Here's the highlight of the dinner - the meat! 原燒綜合拼盤 原燒牛肉拼盤 the meats are not marnirated which allow us to taste their sweetness/ freshness. furthermore, each piece is thinly sliced which just melts in your mouth.. (i'm already drooling while typing). salt & pepper are provided to season. condiments are also provided to enhance the flavour. i prefer the 原味. ...

have been back from TW for a wk but my soul is still there. place is beautiful. people are considerate. they went all out to help us when we lost our way. i never had to squeeze myself into the train. people are very disciplined to stand on the left when on escalator (the right of way). unlike "singaporeans" (or rather FT) like to hog the whole escalator. ktv system is superb! but food was not very much to my liking except 卤肉饭，葱油饼，麻芝， 麻辣火锅，木瓜牛奶 (u can't find such thick & tasty in singapore)，even the 台湾香肠 taste so much nicer. below is another of my fave peekture to end this post. 石梯坪

Holidaying in BKK with my khakis! it has approx 2 years since my last trip. nothing much has changed. this time round, we decided to try the airport express for the 1st time. but... it wasn't express after all cos we lost our way :( the interior of the express train. very much like HKG. but i LURVE HKG airport express! the most look forward meal on day 1 - Coca steamboat. super duper cheap compared to singapore. Concidentally, Uniqlo 1st flagship store opened on that day. look at Q. we thought only singaporean has this unique hobby. random shop on the streets while figuring our way to hotel. Marriage for Alien?!? it drizzled/ rained. so got this to shelter us as our hotel was quite a distance walk from the shopping area. fave meal during the stay. it was from one of the random shophouse near our hotel. super lurve the fried egg. i named it 炸蛋 cos it was oily & crispy. 炸蛋! one of the dinners at Fuji. ...

Fave buys from BKK went BKK for a short shopping trip with the ladies a week back. had much fun. when ladies get together, the bitchy sides are surfaced. anyhow, i started already using some of stuff bought. current lurve is the mouse (my kitty went dead). Papu chan from BKK! S$15 for such a cute mouse. also to add, it not from those "japalan" brand. from Toshiba. second fave was the nail polish bought from beauty buffet. concept was very much like The face shop or skin food discovered this shop when i was there 2 years back. i was in need to find some cheap hand cream when i saw their promo on S$7+ for 2. those lasted me for 2 years (yep, just nice that i'm back again this year. but i din buy though). i got the nail polish instead which is rather cheap. 1 for 65bhat. buying 3 will even be cheaper. here's the end result! it gives a very gelish kind of feeling. my colleagues mistook as gel nails. thanks to Jo recommendation! here's the front look of the bottle...

this morning while washing up, i recalled the TW crazy times i had with my travel khakis. which could help but smiling to myself.. #1 (the most classic) we realised that each of our luggage went beyond 20kg after weighing (borrowed a weighing machine from the recept). that was like 12am plus. we started to think of solutions of how to carry our loot back. we even went to an internet cafe at 1am to check for the overweight charges! when we reached there, the PIC mentioned we are not allowed to share a com. and we had to beg & tell him, we need to check sth & would be done in 30 mins. after checking, we decided to courier back our stuff since it was the cheapest option. we headed back to the hotel. and by chance, YY asked me if i ever carry a 10kg sack of rice. cos her hand carry shows 10kg on the scale. i carried & dun felt that it was that heavy. it was then we realised, we had been reading IB instead of KG! #2 it was an outskirt trip to Jiufen. bus from train...
