HAEP - module 1 (self awarness)

jotting down while its still fresh in my mind...

Day 0 (12 Jun)

drag myself down to YMCA cos was having mixed feelings. thinking how would the week goes.
room mate was a mainland chinese. a very nice lady. i was shocked when a bunch people (her reatives) greeted me when i entered the room.

dinner with the other particpants who flew in from other asia pacific countries. broke the ice with chinese colleagues & some some locals (who apparently share the same office as me. but either i din see them before or those you-know-who-i-am & i-know-who-you-are).

slept at around 11 plus to prepare for the next day.

Day 1 (13 Jun)

was introduced to 2 trainers - Scott & Bill.
ground rules laid.
sharing of indivdual experiences. in fact, those who shared are being questioned. this actually held me back from sharing from the first 2 days. good thing was, while others are being questioned, i'm constantly reflecting on myself.

lessons learnt:

* victim vs responsibilty (choosing how you want to look at situations)
* choice (other than birth & death, life is make up of choices)
* comfort zone
* maintainence cycle
* commitment

* cohesiveness
* do not feel a sense of accomplishment BUT as i conquer each game, it reflects how i had been approaching MY life
* felt good (轻松) after i completed the last game. the 1st step is always the hardest, but definately worthwile.
* acknowledged my "belief" (believing that i could not accomplish anything great)

Day 4 (15 Jun)

played a game which really tested my patience.
1st time to voice out 我的不满
personality test was done.
result: i belong to the analysing category. which is totally true.
gathering honest feedback from the others.
was asked to start thinking of our goals - biz/ personal/ behaviour.

lesson learnt:
* i do have analysing skills. but most of the times i refused to use it.

lesson learnt:
* i have identify the root of my problem which contributes to low self confidence/ refusing to step out of my comfort zone etc.
* everyone thinks highly of me. only i think of the opposite.
* i could actually think out-of-the-box if i want to.
* i'm confident during the indivdual role play but took a step back during when doing as a team.
