My Boss My Hero [MBMH]
finished another drama. - My Boss My Hero.
bro bought this dvd when it was on sale. xx also urged me to watch as the critics he heard from his friend was quite good.
unlike the other dramas, the 1st episode did not catch much of my interest initally.
the only parts i found it good are when tomoya nagase [長瀬智也] can't even count simple mathematics when he was sent to negotiate a deal & fighting for the Agnes pudding.
the cast.
the famous St Anges pudding which was on sale 12 cups per day at 12pm
by just looking at the pic, i could tell the pudding was as smooth as a beancurd.
the synopsis:
Sakaki "Tornado" Makio (Nagase Tomoya) is a tough 27-year-old high school drop-out. By academic standards, he's pretty dumb. His father decides to force Makio to return to high school to receive his diploma and he asks an old friend who happens to be the principal (Iwaki Koichi) of a nearby school to admit Makio. If Makio doesn't graduate, the position of boss will be given to his younger brother Mikio (Kikawada Masaya).
Furthermore, he must pose as a 17-year-old during school hours and in the presence of any classmates or teachers outside of school. If his cover is blown, it would be the end of his high school career as well as his hopes to become boss. Things start out rough and tough as Makio's violent temper is tested. As the lessons and days go by he learns there is much more to school than just tests and studying.
adapted from wiki drama
this was the 2nd time that i watched tomaya as a main lead in jdrama.
the very 1st drama was Mukodono aka 女婿大人which was in 2000. a very touching drama. highly recommended. there was a part 2 of this drama in 2003 but din managed to watch it.
comparing to MBMH, could see that he is a very versatile actor. completely diff personalities.
his facial expressions were hugh in MBMH which i guess results of more winkles. though only 10 episodes, the pace of the drama was just nice. not too slow nor fast.
overall, 3 out of 5 stars.
