watched Titanic which was repeated on channel 5 last night. in spite of knowing the sequences of the story, this is one of the movies that i'll never get tired of watching. i always hope that Titanic will not hit the ice-berg (though it did). it never fails to stir the emotions within me :(

Vsl tour 26 Jan - Maersk Charlotte we were being cordinally invited by Maersk to their vsl. this was the 3rd time been to PSA. 2nd time on board a vsl. 1st time going to pasir panjang (PPT). previously was at tanjong pagar (TPT). it wasn't a large one - 6000 plus teus. i wish i could on board its largest 1 though. but Emma maersk is no longer the largest. anyway it was another eye-opener for me ;) panorama shot from the vsl down. it was less busier than TPT. perhaps due to the economy. loading & unloading in progress clip of the unloading process designated "parking lots" with crane for containers containers (DC/RF) awaiting for loading saw that terrible dent. wonder how much does the insurance co needs to pay out the blue vsl is the 1 we are going to board. getting closer. . . and finally we reached. staircase up to vsl. coming sown was a little challenging cos my feet were cramped before i reached the ground. listening to the Captain attentively. he was a Danish. gr...
the long waited fri is finally here! this wk was pretty slow though i hv tons of work to clear & feeling lethargic. and i also start developing muscles strains. boo! work is as usual challenging- communicating with psychopathic people everyday. hahahaha. . people who are capable to make your blood pressure goes "ding ding" with an email. people who do not have words such as "please/ thanks" in their dictionaries. people who can't differentiate the usage of an exclamation mark (!) & a full stop (.). people whose font sizes gets bigger one after another email when they do not get what they want. people who ask the most ridiculous questions on earth which make you (O.O) & they still think that it was relevant. we deal with all sorts of characters everyday. met up with QQ & YY for fishhead steamboat at Balastiar last fri. the soup base really me me go "wow". cos it really SOLID! we thought that the soup will go bland after we refill it. but it proves us wrong!! this was the 1st SB that had so much greens & sliced fish (we order sliced fish i/o fishhead) in it. they were really generous in their potions. $12 bucks/pax for a medium SB. worth it! on sat, went to little jonas bday party. aweeee!! he's damn cute but super hyper. carrying him is certainly a challenge cos he tends to turn & wiggle.. a good way to train your arm muscles too! * i looked damn ugly in this pic.
2010 wasn't a good headstart. my colleagues & i felt that 2009 had gone in a blink of eye. to make things worse, we did not have a peaceful xmas & new year unlike other years. everyone is working doubly hard in these feastive seasons. we din even felt that we had entered into 2010. hope cny will slow down the pace. went down to try the dress for KL wedding earlier this wk. and i picked the below. now i understand why there was this saying that a woman will look prettiest on her wedding day. a gown can look stunning on any lady even w/o any makeup on.

N during one of our lunch breaks, my colleague mentioned that her church sermon on Christmas day was A Decade. it was then i came to realise we are entering into the 10th year of the 21st century. i started to reconcile on the happenings on the last 9 years & pondered what am i going to do in the coming year which will sums up to a memorable 1st decade of the 21st century. i could easily highlight my past 9 years: - the last 2 years of sec sch - my 1st vacation job - my 3 years in poly - the loss of 3 grandparents - in & out of relationships - knowing God [i'm thankful for His blessings even though i only came to know Him abt 5 years ago] - working life [i'm working close to 5 years & still counting. oh shit] looking back at 2009, it has been a peaceful year. Life wasn't a roller coaster & yet i had my fair share of frustrations & worries which i'm glad i hv always someone to turn to. am also glad ...
YESH! i had finished watching Code blue [コード．ブルー] & its special. this drama really took a lot of my tears. i wouldn't say there are many touching scenes but somehow or rather my tear ducts are just being too active. seriously, i wasn't very keen of watching even though it had scored high ratings in JP & mag reviews. cos medical related drama wasn't really my cup of tea. however, this drama really proved me wrong. there were lessons to learnt on every episodes. Synopsis: The "Doctor Helicopter" system was legalized in Japan in June 2007. A medical team is dispatched to the patients on a helicopter to provide medical care in the field as soon as possible. One day, four young physicians are assigned to this latest medical system. The doctors experience traumatic medical situations, deal with personal ambitions, witness the fragility of life, and they grow personally and professionally. -- Fuji TV and i'm eagerly waiting for its season 2. .
TW trip - Final din took much on my shopping stuff.. cos we were dead beat by the end of each day. these cute buttons can be use for DIY hair pins or rubber bands we din ate their cup noodles so decided to drop by carrefour to get a few packets BB cream . mascara . mascara serum . blackhead remover. [only tiny tweeny part of my shopping] JLPT books for level 2 & 3. since its so cheap, i might get both.. i shld get level 1 also.. hahaha HKG guide book with the intention to go back again our shopping starts to pile up by the 6th day which wasn't that bad. the only difficult part was we had to spread ourselves till the exit in order to pack our luggage. end note: many had asked me to compare HKG & TW to see which i prefer.. mmm.. if i wanted SK II/ Esprite/ G2000/ wanko stuff, HKG will be the place. if i want mascara/ masks, TW will be the place. i prefer the food in HKG as i lurve soupy stuff/ congee & dim sum. on the other hand, the ppl in TW are so polite & systhem...
Yes! i had survived the month of Nov. last nov wasn't an easy month too. cos counterpart was on long MC & i hv to prepare myself for the jap test & JLPT. ok let's sumarise the happenings in nov. 1. 1st regional meeting had my very 1st regional meeting ever since i joined Schenker 17 mths ago. also did my very very 1st presentation ever since i joined the workforce. the dry run was a total flop. however, my ppl commented that our team did a good job on the actual day =) # it was a very big encouragement! 2. Jap exam i was totally stressed out on this year's exam. compo writing was included in one of the test components. but dun think i will score well. as the rest of the components, there's a few hiccups but managed to brave thru it. # keeping my fingers crossed that i'll be able to make it to the next level. 3. Di's flea market @ SMU went to support her after my oral exam which i managed to breeze thru it. felt apologetic as i had not patronised ever sin...
TPE trip - part 3 [FOOD] 1st dinner at 雄一 1st breakfast in TPE - ate almost the similar stuff for 2 consecutive days. 1st NM - 饶河夜市 胡椒饼 the Q was very long but fast. we tried it out of curiosity & indeed it was very good. they use alot of 五香粉 you can't find the same taste in SIN. the famous 士林 fried chix NTD 50. chip & big chinese ramen custard i suppose. very nice cos not too sweet. how can we dun try the famous 阿宗面线 sweet potato while on the way down from YMS. very sweet indeed. 阿给鱼丸 it doesn't taste like fishball crabmeat soup & 油饭 - very fragrant cheese mochi with milk ramen @新北投 after hot spring carrot cake (which i missed) . veggies. oyster egg . ah zong mian xian (we smuggled in) roadside peanut mochi & fruity stuff the QQ fruit jelly from 九份 smelly tofu & bbq sotong [the tofu was damn smelly] my fave mutton soup 2 THUMBS UP! best dessert i every tasted. 浓浓的香兰叶flavour green bean soup @ Mr J.
