reaching 新北投

in search of a cheap & good hot spring
but i must said that the scenery was scenic.
was lucky that the sky was pretty clear.
in search of a cheap & good hot spring
this was found outside on 1 of the hotels along the roadside
this was the intended hot spring we planned to go.
but after looking at the exterior, we decided to gave it a miss.
hence we ended up at this hot spring hotel - 美代温泉
decent look & pricing. TWD 1000/hour with no extra charges & the room is all yours =)
besides that, the room was big enough to accomodate at 5-8 persons.

yup.. we went for the indoor hot spring.
3 tubs of diff temp. personally i prefer 冷水泉. .
hahaha. . anyway i did not get to soak. only use the buckets available to rinse my legs & hands
also went to Yang Ming Shan [YMS] though there nothing much to see.
weather was windy & cool. suitable for trekking.
we trekked at least 2.4km up & down the mountain.

actually, our main agenda was to see this flower clock.
but to our disappointment, it was as big as the pic featured on the website.
no wonder, passer-bys were puzzled when we asked how long it took to reach.

Jiufen [九份] is the only outskirts we went as the trip was shorten to 7 days instead 9 days.
train ride to 瑞方 in order to get to 九份.
did not took much photos as the wind & rain was blowing strong.
umbrellas were of no use. wore raincoats which made us totally no image.
trains we took to & fro
interior of the train which is actually not bad
瑞方 train station.
totally reminds me of those scenes in hokkien KTV songs
hahaha. . .
this photo was taken from the mountain top.
it was still raining then.
one of the shopfronts.
i like the layout of the streets of Jiufen which is very japanese style.
