was busy for the last 2 wks which was good as i do not need to stone in front of the com. rates update. settling rates disputes etc.. through this job, sometimes i realised that there are people in this world who are really dumb.. its like they do not have common sense. they can ask: is the frt quoted in usd? no wonder people tends to say common sense is not common after all. though my primary jobscope is to maintain the system by updating the rates & sucharges, i do have other roles like: - CID [when there's rate disputes. going thru the old files & determined if the amt billed to us was correct] - teacher [tell them how to retrieve rates] -fire fighter [dealing with the most unreasonable agents who their surname is 赖 - if you know what i mean] - mama [some agents just simply want us to spoon feed them -.-] began my swimming regime again. but i'm still very lazy though.. and i still eat alot.. buahahaha... met qq & yy for dinner ytd evening.. suggested going to t3 ...

food for thought went to hong lim complex for lunch after jap lesson today. had been wanting to try the famous 水胶面 aka 睡觉面 (zzz 面) for a long time. actually it was the same stall that my family used to patronise when i was young. i was surprised that it did not moved & in fact it became famous. and guess how much it cost for a plate of 水胶面? 2 bucks! considering the potion of noodles is the same as the kopitiam at my place. and the dumplings are big with lots of meat & prawn =) where on earth can we still find cheap & nice food that can fill your stomach? 2 bucks 水胶面 had dinner at hogs breath cafe with kl & kz 2 wks back. ordered a natural prime rib as i was in the mood of having beef. had it medium rare instead of medium well which i was quite relieved that i chose the first. cos the steak turned out to be medium well. i still prefer outback's victoria fillet =) hog's natural prime rib after much persuasion, mama decided to make some ba zhang for 端午节 this year. ...

had a trim on my lion's mane on fri. thought that there would be no more curls.. cos the hairdresser had trimed alot. but there's still some remaining. xx say i looked better in this. how long do i need to have my straight hair back again like this: caught chronicles of narnia - prince caspian on 1 of the weekdays late at night. no regrets for sacrificing a little of my beauty sleep for this which of course resulted feeling lethergic for the rest of the week. though the ending was kinda expected even right from the start, i still enjoyed every bits of this movie. and now i'm considering to get the full set of narnia books to read. the only spoiler was the bunch of people sitting next to me. talking non-stop. after 薔薇のない花屋, caught ごくせん II. i was comtemplating to watch after i finished ごくせん I as hearsay was also quite good. though ごくせん II storyline was rather smilar to the first, it still touches the hearts' of the audience which explained the high viewership in japan...

spicing up my life?? after starting work 37 mths ago, i had changed. i'm not sure its for the better or good. i no longer stay out late during weekends or fridays. even i do, the latest i reached home would be 1 plus. wash up & hit the bed in an hour's time. perhaps its due to the hiking cab fares which most of us wanted to catch the last bus/train home instead of taking a cab. i started loving to stay at home during weekends or going home straight after work. nothing much interest me now. sometimes going town seems to be a chore. the crowd and weather seems to be so unappealing to me. has singapore became over populated over these years? stuff are getting more expensive or had i already known that i could get the same stuff at a much cheaper price somewhere else? movies tics during weekends are expensive. you can watch the same movie during weekdays but @ $7.50 instead of $8.50. so sometimes its good to stay at home watching dvds & master the art of nua-ing. after my d...

Random updates... finished 薔薇のない花屋 last sun. at first, i thought it was not my type of drama. was not really into those sad dramas but i gave 2 thumbs up for this. 香取慎吾 from SMAP & 竹内 結子 as the main leads. the story is about: Shiomi Eiji is forced to become a single father when his girlfriend passed away while giving birth to their daughter, Shizuku. desolate after the loss of the woman he loved, Eiji has little time or desire to even consider remarrying, working part-time jobs just to make ends meet. met up with my cousins for a catching-up session. had fish & co for lunch. it has been ages since the last time i had.. should be around 2 years ago. not much shopping was done. managed to get my swimming stuff. le coq sportif shoe bag & swimming cap. we had a good laugh over my colour blindness. pink instead of cream. white instead of pink. and also managed to squeeze some time for dionne on fri. she's still the same. had a simple dinner & chilled at starbucks for updates. nowadays, i prefer chilling out with my friends. have a good talk over a cup of my fave choco & people watching. also dropped by kino & saw 恋空 vcd & dvd. i was super elated. bought the vcd instead cos i'm getting their novels too. come to think of it, i should get the dvd =( now waiting for payday. 2 恋空 & 1 死神の精度 novels.

caught Sweet Rain 死神の精度 on thurs. after the last movie, 投名状 in dec, i finally could catch 金城武 in the theaters again. i dun quite like his 照形 in the last movie. but i give 2 thumbs up for this. except for the rookie character he was playing in the 2nd story. overall, its a light hearted movie. no tearing. there's some 冷笑话 as the story progress. but i couldn't catch all of them. it's obvious that the movie was broken up into 3 parts due to the different generations (1985/ 2007/ 2028). but i would say the director did a good job linking them up. sweet rain 死神の精度 aka accuracy of death aka 死神的密秘 and not to forget to mention that there's one scene that 金城武 held 小西真奈美's hand running. i told hjp, i could die in peace if the hand he was holding was mine. wahahaha... and i'm now waiting for his upcoming 赤壁. i know it was abt ancient chinese history. but i dun really care much abt the storyline cos 金城武 is in again =) dropped by ikea with charles, yy, merv & hjp after j...

have a few number updates which i'm too lazy to post. friday's baking session turned out to a disaster. was utterly disappointed with myself. recieved my jap test results. 85/100 wasn't satisfied though due to several careless mistakes made. no longer enjoy my jap lessons. the せんせい who taught us last sem had left. the current one was not really organised in her lessons. she seems to just touch & go. and she also had forgot that this is an elementary class. writing かたがな instead of ひらがな. not to mention that she speaks chim japanese which expect us to understand but leaving us clueless instead. luckily, the watching of jap dramas helped me a little. enough of the unhappy stuff. went jb last sun. satisfy myself with another 4 pairs of heels/slip-ons from vincci. actually, had eyed a lot more but i got budget =( will get it when i went in next time. caught sky of love aka こいぞら/恋空 staring: harima miura, yui aragaki a touching movie though. did abit research on this movie, it ...

1. gelare tues was b&j free cone day. and yet i couldn't hv it cos my office is out from town =( hence settled for gelare instead. thumbs up for choco overload (my all time fave) and of course its hjp's treat =) 2. ktv @ kallang leisurepark the last time i went was when i was 17. waited 20 min for the stupid 11. situated near the sin stadium with only 1 direct bus. no wonder its so quiet. anyway, i was happy that able to see all of them after 1 mth =) caught the last bus home as i die die dun wan to take cab. 3. had been rotting at home today. watching liar game. think i can finished it by tonight.. haha.. went to 2 gatherings this wk. one with ssl colleagues. another was with kl & kz. everyone had been asking how's life in schenker, the jobscope etc. everything was fine. frankly speaking, i'm still adjusting. not the surrounding changes but the feelings. i'm an emo freak. i still missed them. but as for them, life still goes on. it seems to be like i'm on the only one 留在原地. kz initiated a gathering on wed which left me quite surprised. cos we had not been contacting each other for a few months. still remembered our 3 persons bbq which had invited a few stares from the passer-bys then. had mahantten fish market for dinner & then headed to kbox. fried calamari as starter soft & did not have the "rubbery" taste * baked fish in garden herbs: much much better than fish & co's dory fish with corriander leaves. * flamed prawns: dun quite like it. if only...

stay at home today for a baking session. bake choco banana muffins this time round. the mixing butter + sugar + egg flour + choco powder rising in progress the end product banana hidden in muffin the muffins are much more fluffy (perhaps i had added a little more bicarbonate of soda) & tasty compared to the last time i baked. and i had decided that the next baking session will be cookies or pastries =) end note: had recieved positive comments from those who had tried my very 1st muffins. papa said that i can open up a muffin shop.. =) i valued his comments more than anyone else cos of his high expectations in food & also being a choco lover. shall continue to work hard to realise my little ambition to bake diff types muffins, cookies, pastries etc.. and perhaps baked pasta too *wink*

random updates.. 1. jap test was not as difficult as i thought to be. should be able to pass.. tsk tsk.. had spageddies with hjp today had been wanting to try it out for the longest time. grilled chicken primavera thumbs up for this dish cos - the veggies are chewable & tasty enough. at least the carrot taste was not heavy. - lots ofchicken pieces hjp got himself chicken fettuccine. i din expect him to order this as he is not a pasta person. well, it taste quite okay to me.. 2. 豚骨ら面 had 豚骨ら面 at MOF a few wks back. but it was not much for my liking. it tastes like the one i had @ 别府 still prefer baikohken. 3. this month's first mag features the hearthrob 金城武 and being a die hard fan of him, of course i need to grab one from the shelf =) and i still yet to get his confession of pain & the warlords =( 4. savings! i need to re-plan my finances again. apart from the usual sum i need to save per month, i still need to save another 310 bucks for my japan trip next year. so no more...

after 3 long years, you still dun understand. or have we wasted 3 years of youth?

last wk was hell for everyone. coping the loss of a loved one & juggling on a new job wasn't easy. but i'm glad that work was not as hard as thought to be. colleagues were nice. i'm youngest in my dept again. no office politics =) but the atmosphere wasn't as lively as SSL. during the 1st day of lunch, i had a sudden tinge of sadness. i missed si mon, lay hoon & the others =( i know the feeling will soon go away...

everyone tried to put a brave front. but i can see how tired mama was. and she is also just an emo freak like me. her eyes are already half-closed. its already the 3rd day and yet i still can't accept that she's gone. i can't see her anymore. my beloved grandma who is always a superwoman in my eyes.

the last wk of work was pretty relaxing except for coaching the new girl. claira said that i really hv the patience.. haha.. i guess i have no choice. cos the new gal is really a greenhorn. colleagues were nice enough to treat me farewell lunches which include: - jap food @ tokkuri あやめ便と love the cod fish. - dim sum @ asia grand the roast meat was superb! the meat is soft with crispy skin. i also love the har kow. big juicy prawns. slurp. - korean food @ hyang-to-go [amara hotel] side dishes grilled prawns cod fish kimchi soup had 2 cod fish in 1 wk. yipeeee! wei keng was also sweet enough to treat me lunch at tiong bahru market =) though cheap but おいしい had photo a session taking on the last day. my partner (claira) considering the stupid careless mistakes i made, she had been really patient with me =) nice colleagues serene & me she was trying hard to make me tear. in the end, she herself also teared =( this is where we sit during our wkly meeting. going to miss this place =( as f...

wed's medical checkup was quite ok except for the nurses' unfriendliness. i was being tested for colour blindness again. and i doubt i would be able to pass the test. though i managed to read 2 out of 3 numbers (which i also did not know if i had seen it correctly). luckily there's no blood test cos the nurses forever could not find my vein and its really painful. i rather have an injection than a blood test. nevertheless, i was happy that i lost weight again. 1.56kg less to my ideal weight. w e e e e e . . . . p.s: oh, i'm craving for teochew muay -.-

i'm on leave tml. going for my medical checkup. but 1st of all, i'm going to replenish my beauty sleep. whahaha... nothing is important this. having enough sleep = no eyebags / panda eyes / smaller pores. somehow but dunno why i'm feeling excited out of sudden. i imagined myself walking along orchard road with a cup of my fave ice-blended choco in my hands doing shopping alone. so carefree.. lalalalala =) food for thought: looks like an egg tart. but its actually beancurd tart. plus point: not too sweet. suitable for diabetic ppl. its as silky as 豆花. minus point: the crust was a little hard though. and my colleague brought it at this place:
